ubisoft has released a playable demo of their hip-looking fps xiii. take a game like soldier of fortune 2, cell shade it and add text sound effects ala the '60s batman tv show and you've got xiii. i have to say i didn't like the idea of cell-shaded games when i first saw them but after seeing a video of auto modellista in action i've changed my mind and i think they look pretty slick. you can get the demo from 3dgamers, fileplanet or any of the other file download sites. or check out screenshots here.

massive development and jowood productions have released a single player demo of aquanox 2: revelation . if you remember the original aquanox, you already know the game didn't do too well in sales but was incredible to looks at. the demo may be worth downloading just to see if your machine can meet the demands of this underwater shooter. for a list of mirrors to download from check out the official site . the demo weighs in at around 260 megs or you can check out some in-game video footage .

if you've been looking for the deathcon crew on the sof2 servers but not been able to find them it's because most are now playing battlefield 1942 and this friday you can be playing too as ea games unleashes the battlefield 1942 secret weapons multiplayer demo. you'll get to take a bunch of new vehicles out for a spin or try out ten of the 16 new weapons. should be shweet but if that personal jetpack is anything like the harrier in desert combat, you'll probably find me in a tree somewhere. frikkin harrier! anyway, get all the details from the official site.

Ok, gonna try this again... there's a new version of the Tron 2.0 demo out, and the buzz is that a lot of the bugs are fixed in this version. This time it includes a single-player level, along with some new maps for the multiplayer content. You can get a copy over at GameSpot. Good luck!
