Anyone had a chance to check out SimCity 4 yet? I haven't played a SimCity game since I got rid of my Mac ten years ago (yes, I had a Mac. Sue me).
Just curious if anyone has had a chance to play it yet... I've been reading good things.

Ok, Fry's has the new .hack game for sale for $29. From everything I've read this game is supposed to be the bomb... If you are a fan of anime (like Grapple), have a PS2, and are familiar with this anime series, then this is a game you shouldn't miss.

epic games has released a patch to update a bunch of things in unreal tournament 2003. i thought they were going to release a quicky patch to fix that denial of service exploit that was discovered recently but there's a huge list of stuff in this patch. it's for windows clients and servers right now with a linux version to be released soon. this patch should not keep you from joing unpatched servers so you can add it now and still connect to the deathcon or bizarre servers without worry. woohoo! a date has been set for the release of rockstar games "grand theft auto: vice city". the game will sport improved sounds and graphics, more controls and the ability to customize the game. vice city should hit store shelves on may 13th. read the full press release on blue's news. I got my copy of C & C: Generals yesterday, and it's a good game. Hopefully, like the last C & C game, they'll come out with a Linux dedicated server in the near future so that we can host one on the WAN.
If you're at all a fan of RTS style games, I highly recommend this one.

epic is testing a new patch for ut2003 that they hope to release tomorrow if all goes well. this new patch should fix client-side and server code exploits that could allow denial of service attacks, bounce attacks and a few other exploits. check out tech tv for the full article. [bluesnews]

id software and activision announced today that they are going to stop production on the retail sequel to return to castle wolfenstein because the single player game sucked. ok, they didn't say it exactly like that. anyway, the single player game blew but the multiplayer portion has been developing pretty well so id and activision plan to release it as a free downloadable expansion some time later this year. check out gamespy for more info.

Well, Leche seems to be on a patch kick, so I thought that I should post some information on recent and upcoming releases, gaming-wise.
Topping the list is Unreal 2, and the graphic beauty of this game is balanced nicely by the fact that you better have the latest and greatest hardware if you want to enjoy playing it...

blizzard entertainment has released the 1.05 patch for warcraft III. not much to see here. just a bunch of bug fixes that you won't see. get it from file planet.
